Keep safety at the center. Cognitive challenges should never compromise movement quality or create unnecessary risk. If the physical task requires significant balance or technical skill, keep the cognitive challenge simple. Always provide an option to reduce the complexity.
You can also use dual-tasking throughout a class rather than creating an entire workout around it. A few minutes of cognitive movement during a warm-up, conditioning segment, or cool-down can add variety without taking over the session.
