Grab your kid and draw a line on the floor. Now, let’s get moving in this quick 5-minute Mama & Me movement time! Do the video with us or check out the movements written below.
Start at the back of the line with you on one side and the kiddo on the other. Move like an animal to the end of the line then jog back. Try these animals:
- Bunny Hop
- Frog Jumps
- Flamingo Hop
Shuffle & High-Five
Face each other at the end of the line. Step side then together then side again (shuffle) to high five at the end of the line. See this at 1:30 in the video above.
Red Light Hop Over
Start on opposing sides & ends of the line and facing each other. Say “Green Light” and hop over the line as many times as you can. When you say “Red Light” everyone has to freeze with one knee lifted in the air. See this at 2:30 in the video above.
Run & Duck Reaction Drill
Face the band & each other but on opposing ends. Run forward and back over the band until you yell “Duck”. Then drop into a squat and hold until you yell “Run” again. You can see this at 3:30 in the video above.
While facing each other, turn your legs out and drop into a low pile squat (sumo style). Hold your arms up as if they have claws on them. Move down the line with a step together step action, while staying low in your pile squat. Feel free to give a little pinch as you cross paths. Once you reach the end of the line, reverse.
